Oakford’s flyer cover artwork
Those of you with an eye for aesthetics will have noticed the sexiness of our recent flyer art. This is down to illustrative handy work of one Jo Sinclair. You can see his latest work on the cover of our Monthly flyer downloadable from this page. We’ll be uploading all our artwork into the art section of this blog so you can print it off and pass it off as your own work as you see fit, just kidding.

The Manna team
This Saturday 27th March we have the pleasure of bringing you Detachments(live) and their eclectic set of futuristic, dark pop. Akin to the sound of early ‘80s Factory Records, with a hint of Dubstep Electronica and nods to DFA’s consistently varied output. Have a little gander at their ‘Flowers That Fell’ video here.
Free before 9pm/£3/£2/£1 | 8:00pm - 2:00am
Stopmakingme - OWTIC 001
Here’s a regular little feature I’ll be contributing to the ace Out With The In Crowd website. A mix of brand new music making my life better right now. It’s more a collection of records rather than a DJ mix but the idea is that it should be listened to in this order. A mixtape, if you will. It’s always a really enjoyable exercise to do such projects. It gives me the opportunity to bring out some different tracks I wouldn’t normally play in clubs. Put it on your iPod and have a listen whilst walking around in the cold. Hope y’all like it!
- Bot’Ox - Blue Steel
- CFCF - Raining Patterns
- Darwin Deez - DNA
- Sonny & The Sunsets - Heart Of Sadness

DJ Derek (born Derek Morris 1942) is a Bristol-based DJ whose blend of 60s rocksteady, reggae, ska, dancehall and soul music has made him an icon for many in the industry, including a host of Jamaican producers and Massive Attack. DJ Derek spent 10-18 years working as an accountant at Cadburys, yet gave it up to play reggae in the St Paul’s area of Bristol. Probably a wise choice.
